Chapter President's Message
Dana Decker Perrino, CMP MPI - GOA President, 2010-2011
Can you hear that? Listen closely. Still can’t hear it? Well, let me turn it up for you. As GOAMPI President, my goal for the year will be to lead a board of professionals bursting with positive energy and raise the roof for our members - our 2010/2011 board is ready to PUMP UP THE VOLUME!
I am ready to spring into action and make some noise this upcoming year! It is important that our members find value in the networking, education, and business opportunities MPI will offer them. I plan to do this with the following key initiatives:
Social Media. Follow us on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Many of the people following us are not MPI members…yet. With over 900 followers we plan to continue using these tools to help recruit more people into our MPI membership.
Branding. Increasing focus on branding. It is important that people identify our initiatives by having consistent branding run through all special events and educational programs. Most importantly, branding will energize the GOAMPI website by making it more enticing to our current and future members.
Cutting Edge-Ucation. One of the top priorities will involve measuring the satisfaction of education programs. Our education committee will implement a variety of new ideas to keep GOAMPI members at the forefront of the latest and most unique practices of our industry. Our focus will be on enhanced content quality, speakers and locations to make attending a program convenient for all members, in all areas of the Orlando Market.
Change in Management to Manage Change. A new management company has been hired to serve our organization. They were selected based upon specific criteria designed to help catapult and grow our chapter to the next level. While upholding MPI standards, their focus will be on building membership, ensuring quality programs, branding, web technology, graphic design, and the flawless execution of GOAMPI signature events.
Exceptional Networking. The GOAMPI “After Five” has become such a successful networking event. Our members have found this such a tremendous value that we plan on continuing these programs on a monthly basis.
We can all agree that business has been pretty timid these past few years but there are signs indicating things might be on their way back. We all want to see our industry flourish once again….so as we move forward into a bright future, let’s all make some noise and Pump Up The Volume!
